今日は晴れていますが、空に見ると！波状的薄いうろこ雲が空の半分を占めています。時々日が遮られ曇ります。夏のように暑いです。雑木林の道路わきに豚菜が咲いています。大分増えてきています。車が多く走っているような気がします。特に目に留まるものがなく、県営団地へ。やはり、車の半分位が動いているようです。名前の分からない公園の角に咲く白いマーガレットが奇麗です。交差点の床屋さんの前の信号が青です。今日は床屋さんお休みのようです。メダカに挨拶をして通過しました。そして、富士見公園は白雲木を観賞。沢山の花びらが落下しています。花穂の形が崩れています。早いですね。花の命は！ジョンソンタウンはホットリップスが奇麗です。彩の森公園へ。紫詰め草、箆大葉子、タンポポが奇麗！豚菜も増えてきました。出口の紅花栃ノ木は花びらが落ち始めていますが、相変わらず奇麗です。帰ります。途中バラ以外は特に目につきません。今日はイオンで買い物です。二日分を買い、すぐに帰ります。グリーンヒルに面している家の庭にバラが咲いています。オレンジ系のいろいろな色のバラがとても奇麗なので、撮影しました。そして帰宅。今日は白いベル？！よろしければご覧ください。

白雲木（はくうんぼく）Fragrant Snow Bell

落葉小高木 えごのき科えごのき属 原産地 日本
開花期　５月 花径　２ｃｍ位 結実期　９月 樹高 １５ｍ位まで
高い木の上部に白い小花が鈴なりに咲いているさまが、白雲のように見えることからのこのように呼ばれています。朝鮮半島や中国、日本の各地に分布しています。湿潤な谷間、山地に多く生えています。白い小花を多数総状に枝先につけます。お花は美しく、花冠が５裂し、下に垂れています。香りがよくラベンダーやライラックににていて清涼感が漂う香りだそうです。このことがらでしょうか。Fragrant Snow Bellと呼ばれているそうです。この美しいお花も開花後は１週間程度で儚くも散ってしまいます。葉は１０～３０ｃｍとかなり大きく、倒卵形で縁には鋸歯があり、互生します。学名 Styrax obassiaの種「obassia」は、この「大葉萵苣(おおばぢしゃ)」の読みからつけられたそうです。お花は同科同属のえごのきと非常によく似ています。見分け方は葉形は、えごのきは細長く、白雲木は丸みを帯びています。花柄の長さはえごのきの方が長く、白雲木は短いようです。花後に、夏から秋にかけてたくさんの大きめの実がつきます。実はえごのきは指くらいの大きさで白雲木より小さいです。花の香りは非常に良く似ているそうです。材は、器具や彫刻材などに使われているそうです。(ちょっとメモ)学名はStyrax obassiaでStyrax :エゴノキ属、obassia : 大葉萵苣(おおばぢしゃ)（日本名）の意味です。Styrax（スティラックス）は、ギリシャ語の「storax（安息香）」が語源だそうです。この属の植物は、この安息香というを産出するそうです。これは樹液を固めた樹脂で薬用・香料に使われます。
[別名]大葉萵苣（おおばぢしゃ）…萵苣（ちしゃ）は、野菜のレタス（タマヂシャ）やサラダ菜のことです。
