今日も曇り空。雑草のゴミを持って出かけます。途中お墓がありますので、ここでも草取り。３０分かかってしまいました。空き地の奥にも大金鶏菊が、沢山咲いています。気が付きませんでした。グリーンヒルの裏道、やはり、バラが奇麗。雅も。通過。郵便局の前を通り、住宅街へ。そして、その出口に白い蛍袋が咲き始めています。県営団地を通過。庭に珍しい花を発見！小葉の髄菜です。交差点の床屋さんへ。信号が赤です。メダカに挨拶して通過。庭の鉢のピンクのベルフラワーは、花数が増えて、ますます奇麗。富士見公園は草刈りがされています。ジョンソンタウンを通り、彩の森公園へ。子供たちが走っています。散歩の人が、なんとなく増えているように思います。コロナで健康を考える人が増えたのか？ここでも、草刈りが行われています。紫詰め草が例年なく、咲いていたのですが！りんごと麦茶のミックスジュースを飲み休憩。帰ります。特に目につくものはありません。イオン前の庭の花壇に虫取り撫子が咲いています。奇麗です。サンドラッグによりキッチンペーパーを購入。グリーンヒルの中を通ります。途中、青い山紫陽花が咲き始めていました。とても奇麗です。満開になったら撮りたい。帰宅。びっくり！机に置いたトマトの苗、一輪花が咲きました！根は二日前がら！今日は葉下に咲く！？よろしければご覧ください。

えごのき Styrax japonicus

落葉広葉樹　　　えごのき科えごのき属　　　原産地　日本全土、朝鮮、台湾、中国
開花期　５～６月　　　花径　２ｃｍ位　　　　樹高　１０ｍ位まで
名は、果実を口に入れると、喉や舌を刺激してえぐい（えごい）ことからきているそうです。一般的ではないようですが、「売子の木」とも書くようです。北海道、本州、九州、四国に分布しています。白色の深く割れたゆり型の５弁の花、木に咲く花とは思えないほどキレイで可愛いですね。花も実も下向きにぶらさがり咲き、花には香りがあり、繁殖力が強いです。白花の野生種と赤花の園芸種があります。近年では一般家庭のシンボルツリーとしても人気がありますが、実の皮は有毒で魚をマヒさせるような毒があり、有毒植物なので注意が必要のようです。また、昔は若い果実を石鹸と同じように洗浄剤として洗濯などに用いていたようです。[栽培]日向地を好みますが、半日陰での栽培はできます。成長はそれほど速くないため、混んだ枝や邪魔な枝を間引く程度で、基本的には剪定を必要としません。
[別名]萵苣の木（チシャノキ）、チサノキ、轆轤木（ろくろぎ）… 昔、この材をロクロで細工して、おもちゃなどを作ったところから。
